Whale Trail Viewing Starts in Spring

SAN SIMEON - Each year one of nature’s most spectacular migration happens underwater along a path called the Whale Trail. This trail stretches from Canada to Mexico, giving the Central Coast stunning views of more than 30 species of whales. Book a tour of Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Station and walk the bluff to visit NOAA scientists that have setup massive binoculars to conduct the annual gray whale count.

Bruce Munro: Field of Light at Sensorio

PASO ROBLES - Sensorio, an immersive new destination announces an illuminated art installation by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. The British-based artist will create his largest site-specific project to date, with the enormous multi-acre walk-through artwork. Field of Light is a sculptural composition that covers Sensorio’s rolling hills with an array of over 58,800 stemmed spheres, powered by solar, lit by fiber-optics, gently illuminating the landscape in subtle blooms of morphing color.
