Educational, interesting and fun, the Morro Bay Aquarium is also a refuge, serving as a rehabilitation center for distressed mammals since 1984. Children and adults alike enjoy feeding the sea lions. The building houses 14 tanks, allowing visitors to view local marine life, including fish, sharks, octopuses, eels, abalone and sea anemones. In addition, the research department at Cal Poly boards its horseshoe crabs here. Open every day. Call for hours. Admission: children 1-4: free; children 5-11: $1; 12 and over $2. Group rates available for schools and other qualified groups.
