MEDIA CENTER

Dear Media Professional,
Welcome to California's scenic and fascinating Central Coast region. We appreciate your interest in the California Central Coast Tourism Council (CCTC) and our favorite part of California - the Central Coast, “The Original Road Trip”. CCTC and its member organizations welcome the opportunity to work with the media to enhance public awareness of the unique destinations and warm hospitality that awaits visitors throughout California's Central Coast region. Stretching along a spectacular 300-mile area of unspoiled coast from Ventura County (just north of Los Angeles), to Santa Cruz County (just south of San Francisco), the Central Coast features activities and experiences available nowhere else.

Come with us and step back into time at historic Hearst Castle; discover the mysterious undersea world of Monterey Bay at the fascinating Monterey Bay Aquarium; experience the new National Steinbeck Center with its innovative exhibits that preserve and interpret the literary legacy created by John Steinbeck; thrill to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk's entertainment in the style of a bygone era; explore unspoiled beaches and the nearby breathtaking offshore Channel Islands; enjoy a visit to Solvang, where the cuisine, architecture and shops "transports you" to the "Danish Capital of America",  visit the surreal rock remains of an ancient volcano at Pinnacles National Monument, or treat your senses to one of many special events such as the popular Gilroy Garlic Festival.

Experience some of the many award winning wines at area tasting rooms, or visit our unique shops and bring home a Central Coast treasure. The Central Coast region offers a wide variety of quality accommodations and restaurants to suit virtually any taste or budget.
