Aloha Beach Festival

Part surf contest, Frisbee competition and music festival, the event is the brainchild of Chipper "Bro" Bell, a 12-time world Frisbee champion, surf instructor and customer service representative for the Patagonia clothing company. Mixed into the surf and Frisbee competition was some Hawaiian aloha spirit, meaning, according to Bell, kindness, unity, modesty and patience.

California Street Longboard Classic

For the past 20 years, Thom Theys and Frank Sentes have been announcing the annual surf contest at California Street. Their combined surfing commentary and hilarous antics keep everyone entertained the entire weekend!

Annual All Ford Car Show and Swap Meet

The 14th Annual All Ford Car Show will be September 10, 2016 and will once again be held in Old Town Orcutt adjacent to the Orcutt Union Plaza. First & Second place trophies in 10 classes, plus Best of Show--all participant chosen Proceeds to benefit Allan Hancock College Automotive Technology Scholarship Program.

80th Annual Solvang Danish Days

Danish Heritage Festival, September 16-18, 2016 – Little Denmark! Admission to Solvang Danish Days is free, and includes three parades, folk dancers and Danish musicians performing around town, plus other feature events on Saturday evening: the Danish Days Dinner Dance, followed by live music and dancing; the Solvang 2nd Century Street Party, featuring live music and much more!

Pier Under the Stars

Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove

Each year thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies flock to Pismo Beach, seeking shelter from the freezing northern winters. From late October to February, the butterflies cluster in the limbs of a grove of Eucalyptus trees at Pismo State Beach. The grove is easily accessible. It is located on State Highway 1 at the south boundary of the city limits of Pismo Beach.

Christmas Tree Lane

In 1992, the nearby City of Ventura’s residents of Candy Cane Lane (Teloma Drive) decided to pass the torch of the well-known Ventura County tradition to Oxnard's ‘F’ street. Donated decorations and lights, including no less than 3 scaled-down animated merry-go-rounds, were trucked to Oxnard and a new tradition began. The event was organized and renamed Christmas Tree Lane by past neighboorhood Chair, ‘F’ Street resident Steve Buratti. Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade

More than 65,000 spectators line State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara each year in anticipation of Santa Barbara’s only nighttime parade, the 64th Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade. The parade begins at 6:30 PM at State and Sola Streets and concludes at Cota Street. Officially kicking off the holiday season, this signature Downtown Santa Barbara event brings a colossal contingent of high-stepping marching bands, fabulous holiday-themed floats, spectacular performance groups, local personalities, and a celebrity Grand Marshal.

Parade of Lights

Channel Islands Harbor will hold its 50th annual Parade of Lights noon – 8 p.m., Dec. 12, with the parade beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy a full day of holiday activities, including a snowplay area, Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday artists’ market, exhibitors, live music, children’s activities, and much more.
