ARTS & CULTURE IN THE CENTRAL COAST

Even though it has no major cities, the Central Coast boasts a vibrant cultural life. The region is home to nine of California’s 21 missions and such historic sites as Monterey’s Cannery Row and Santa Paula’s California Oil Museum. The contemporary arts scene includes leading museums and major galleries from Santa Barbara to Carmel, as well as performing arts venues where you can catch celebrated musicians in concert, or professional theater productions.
